Resident Evil viewer teases how Lance Reddick’s Albert Wesker is alive

Netflix vampire The series is set to make a major change within the franchise when it premieres this summer. The series will be the first live project to hit the silver screen and have a well-managed staff. Netflix cast Charlie’s Angels Actress Ella Balinska in the title role vampire And Lance Riddick as Albert Wesker in the race swap. In video games, Wesker is a white blond man who dies in a volcano, so the casting selection definitely raised some heads, but Reddick was considered the best man for the job. We recently got a chance to sit down with Netflix’s viewer vampire, Andrew Dabb, revealing how Reddick landed the role and teasing how the character is still alive in the series.

“So basically what happened. Number one, you know, in games, Wesker died. He was blown up by a rocket launcher in a volcano,” Dab revealed. “Gaming is our background. So everything in gaming is in this world. How does Wesker live? Now, I’m going to say stay tuned. And the answer isn’t that he’s immune to lava. Do you know what I mean?”

Reddick has had a very prolific career starring in projects like the wireAnd margin And the John Wick franchise, so he definitely qualifies to play the role. Dabb revealed that when the actor showed interest in the role, they immediately chose him because no one was better for the role. The vampire The showrunner also reveals why Reddick chose to play Albert Wesker.

“In terms of casting, the rule of choice was to find the best person, do you know what I mean? I think when you’re acting in the modern age, if you restrict yourself on the basis of, well, this character is blonde, so we have to just look at blond actors, You’ll find yourself in a bad situation,” vampire Showrunner continued. “So, when Lance [Reddick] I was interested in doing the part, well, you wouldn’t find anyone better. Like, you won’t find anyone better than him to play his character. Both the father type is part of the personality, and also, as you saw in this, the company type is, you know, the killer part of the personality.

“So once you click that into place, you’re not going to do a better job. At this point you’re making the show weaker by going with someone who might be more aesthetically a match for the game, you know what that means? So why dilute an offer like that? You know what I mean.” It doesn’t make any sense to me. Fortunately, Netflix and Konstantin are also very cooperative with that. Because the goal here is to do the strongest showing and that, by the way, applies to all the others. You know, looking at Ella [Balinska] and tara [Smart] and Siena [Agudong]. and Paula [Nuñez]Like, believe me, we’ve seen a lot of people, you know what I mean? Almost everyone. And those guys were the standouts, those are all of them, and I’m saying this, and frankly, everyone on this show was our first choice. And we were very fortunate that Netflix helped us put them on the show.”

Netflix describes the series as follows: “The year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus causes global catastrophe, Jade Wesker fights to survive in a world overrun by infected, mad, bloodthirsty creatures. In this sheer carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in the city of The new raccoon, through her father’s creepy ties to the Umbrella Corporation, but mostly because of what happened to her sister Billy.”

Netflix vampire The series will feature eight one-hour episodes, all of which will be released on July 14.
